FOREST-1 is an IR camera, specially designed for wild fire detection on a 3U CubeSat. Main requirements are thermal imaging in LWIR and MWIR spectral range with a 200m resolution and a 200 km swath.
KTO has developed the IR lens objective. FOREST-1 has been launched in Jan. 2022.
